The UNITEID Graduate School took part in the first Inter-Graduate School thematic session, dedicated to transdisciplinarity around the themes of antibiotic resistance, artificial intelligence, the “One Health” approach and emerging viruses.
From January 19 to 23, 2026, fifteen UNITEID students and PhD candidates travelled to Lyon to take part in the first edition of Inter-Graduate School Winter School, organized by the EID@Lyon Graduate School (Claude Bernard University - Lyon 1), in collaboration with the 1H-EID Graduate School (University of Paris-Cité). EID@Lyon (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1), in collaboration with EUR 1H-EID (Paris-Cité University).
During the Winter School, participants were able to broaden their horizons to new disciplines, learn to work across disciplines, acquire new skills in complex project management, and develop their network.
Professor Denis Hudrisier, UNITEID’s Pedagogical Coordinator, led a project-building workshop based on a number of role-play scenarios involving infectious outbreaks, enabling participants to mobilize the resources available in the field of emerging infectious diseases, particularly in Lyon and Toulouse, and identify the skills that are lacking.
Avenues and initiatives to raise public awareness of the tiger mosquito emerged from this meeting and will be presented at the One Health festival to be held in Lyon from April 5 to 7, 2026.
The students also shared convivial moments and discovered or re-discovered the city, with its gastronomic delights.
