Master of Science in Pharmaceuticals and Health Products

Visit Master of Science in Pharmaceuticals and Health Products (SMPS) offers training focused on drugs, with the aim of training students for different sectors of the healthcare industry.

Theoretical and practical courses enable students to acquire the disciplinary and cross-disciplinary skills needed for immediate professional integration or to pursue a doctorate.

 

This specialization enables students enrolled in healthcare courses (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, midwifery), paramedical courses (physiotherapists, speech therapists, advanced practice nurses, etc.) and veterinary school courses to prepare, in parallel with their studies, a  Master 1 special course.

Clinical trials and pharmacoepidemiology

The evaluation of drugs in humans relies on clinical trials and population studies based on large healthcare databases. The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the various stages involved in designing, carrying out and analyzing clinical trials and pharmaco-epidemiological studies (from protocol design and regulatory management to data analysis and communication of results). In 2nd year, a choice of one of the following courses: Advanced Clinical Trials or Methods in Pharmacoepidemiology.

PKPD

Pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic modeling

From drug development to dose individualization in clinical settings, model-based approaches have become essential for solving dose optimization problems. The aim of this Master's program is to teach the statistical, pharmacological and programming fundamentals needed to understand, build and benefit from pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling. The course is taught in French and/or English, depending on the students recruited.
