Master in Biology and Health
Visit Master in Biology and Health is a training program based on and for research, which aims to give future graduates the most recent conceptual, technological and regulatory foundations to follow and participate in the evolution of knowledge in the field of multifactorial chronic diseases and therapeutic innovations; and to be a driving force behind the implementation of 4P medicine (Preventive, Predictive, Personalized and Participatory).
The training is directly linked to biomedical research, covering different approaches to physiopathology:
- Integrated: not organ-centric,
- Multi-scale: from molecule to organism to population
- Multidisciplinary: from biology to mathematical modeling and machine learning.
The UNITEID University Diploma in Emerging Infectious Diseases is attached to a course in the Biology and Health Master's Degree:
GIZMAT
Integrated management of zoonoses and tropical animal diseases
The aim of this Master's program is to train epidemiologists and risk managers for the major veterinary public health scourges, thereby improving the management of both tropical animal diseases and population health. First year (M1) corresponds to a core curriculum providing a foundation of knowledge and skills in the field of Biology-Health (physiology, cell biology, cancer, aging, pharmacology, inflammation, tissue integrity, metabolism, relevance and limits of experimental models, imaging, statistics, omics, scientific communication in French and English), a work placement and a specialization (Microbiota / Physiopathology of infections).
Second year (M2) includes a theoretical training 12-week course, during which knowledge and skills in tropical animal diseases and their management are developed. The hands-on training consists of a 5-month internship in a professional environment, validated by a written report and oral presentation at the end of the year.
