Moving into research

PhD

EUR UNITEID is able to finance or co-finance three-year doctoral grants. To this end, an admission competition is held every year in July.

Students must be enrolled in a PhD program in Toulouse, and carry out their thesis in a EUR partner laboratory. International cotutelles are strongly encouraged.

In line with the objectives of the national acceleration strategy on Emerging Infectious Diseases (EIDs) and CBRN threats (nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical threats), the scope of funding eligibility is restricted to the EUR field, i.e. EIDs and antibiotic resistance, and therefore does not cover all infectiology, microbiology, or the epidemiology of non-emerging / non-priority infectious diseases. This suitability for the EUR field is a prerequisite for the admissibility of funding applications.
