Master in Bioinformatics

Visit Master's degree in Bioinformatics trains students in the multidisciplinary skills - biology, computer science and mathematics - needed to work in bioinformatics, systems biology and environmental genomics.

At the end of this course, students will have acquired the autonomy needed to conceptualize problems linked to the analysis of biological data, and to implement and/or develop methodological responses adapted to solving the biological question posed, by mastering :

  • programming and data management skills to support biology projects; ;
  • skills in mathematical processing of large datasets to extract relevant information; ;
  • approaches for extracting relationships between objects from different, heterogeneous data sources, with the aim of inferring biological networks; ;
  • inference and prediction approaches for the biological/ecological systems studied.

The aim of the Master's degree in Biotechnology is to master the scientific and technical fundamentals of biochemistry, biotechnology and microbiology.

Bioinformatics and environmental genomics

Shared with the Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution specialization, this course focuses on the processing and integration of different types of Omics data, and on the inference and dynamic modeling of gene networks to better understand the dynamic behavior of the biological system as a whole.

This master's program focuses on processing genomic data from natural populations or environmental samples, describing their taxonomic and functional diversity, modeling interactions between the various components, inferring their evolution and predicting their adaptive capacity.
