During a training session held in May as part of the e-CARE initiative at Toulouse University Hospital, Prof. Guillaume Martin-Blondel, from the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the Toulouse University Hospital and co-coordinator of the NEO-I3D research cluster, gave a presentation during a conference focused on the challenges of emerging infectious diseases and preparedness for epidemic and biological risks (REB): «Tomorrow’s Epidemics: Are We Ready?».
This presentation covered the following topics, among others:
- Emerging Infectious Diseases and Agents Posing an Epidemic and Biological Threat and Risk (REB)
- An Overview of the Epidemic Risk in Metropolitan France and Occitanie
- Strategies for Anticipating and Preparing for Risk in Occitanie
- Best practices in primary care.
The e-CARE program helps people in vulnerable situations with chronic conditions access community-based medical care and provides support to professionals in the health, social, and medical-social sectors in managing complex cases.
